Raemian's flagship landscaping brand 'Nature Gallery' proves its design excellence
'Garden Bailey' wins the Grand Prize and 'Green Cascade' wins the Gold Prize
Samsung C&T's Engineering & Construction Group (hereinafter Samsung C&T) has demonstrated the outstanding design and construction quality of 'Nature Gallery,' Raemian's flagship landscaping brand, by simultaneously winning awards for two landscaping entries at Asia's largest international design award.
Samsung C&T announced that it won the Grand Prize and the Gold Winner, respectively, for its two entries 'Garden Bailey' and 'Green Cascade' in the Space·Architecture category of the Asia Design Prize 2024. Both entries are landscaping facilities installed within the Raemian One Bailey complex, where 'Nature Gallery' was first applied.
Founded in 2016, the Asia Design Prize is an international design competition in which a panel of 35 world-class designers—including Professor Shin Goande of Kyoto University of the Arts, a prestigious design institution—selects winners across three fields: industrial design, space·architecture, and communication. This year, 248 entries were selected from among 1,061 entries submitted by 25 countries worldwide.
First, the Grand Prize–winning 'Garden Bailey' originally embodied the meeting of tradition and modernity by incorporating a super-sized media cube into the artificial rock mountain at the central space of Raemian One Bailey. It brings together contrasting design elements—nature and cutting-edge technology, softness and strength—to offer residents a distinctive experience.
The Gold Prize–winning 'Green Cascade' is a space that overcomes the complex's concrete retaining wall with a landscaping solution, resolving the 2.5-meter height into a landscaped terrace that descends in five stages. Composed of greenery, water features, and rest facilities, this space has been reborn as a residents' rest area where one can relax comfortably as if deep within a mist-covered forest.
With these awards, Samsung C&T has become the only company in the industry to win awards at the Asia Design Prize competition for four consecutive years. It also won the Grand Prize—awarded to the top 1%—again this year, following the 'Piloti Garden' at Raemian Leaders One in 2021, further solidifying its brand standing by earning recognition for Raemian's uniquely differentiated landscaping technology.
Yang Jun, head of the Landscaping Group at Samsung C&T's Housing Business Team, said, "These awards once again affirm our outstanding landscaping technology, and going forward we plan to provide differentiated landscaping facilities that embody Samsung C&T's unique landscaping expertise and style in the Raemian complexes scheduled for sale."
Meanwhile, Samsung C&T plans to continue presenting Raemian's uniquely special landscaping spaces and overwhelming brand value through a broader range of concepts, including the development of 'Nature Retreat,' which applies the Nature Gallery design philosophy to gardens.
